IIBS Bangalore is thrilled to announce a transformative initiative aimed at addressing one of the most pressing challenges of global warming. 

In collaboration with the Dr. Jay Foundation and ReGreen Labs, the International Institute of Business Study (IIBS) is launching a grand tree-planting event. This initiative reflects our dedication to building a sustainable future while working towards our goal of becoming the third-largest global economy by GDP growth. 

India’s 77-year journey of independence has been marked by tremendous strides in various sectors. As we envision our future, a robust environmental strategy must complement our economic growth. The impact of global warming is increasingly evident, with extreme weather events and environmental changes affecting communities across the globe. In response to these challenges, IIBS is proud to lead a significant green initiative that aligns with our national goals and environmental responsibilities. 

Our Ambitious Goal: Planting 1 Crore Tree Saplings by 2050 

We are excited to announce our ambitious goal of planting 1 crore (10 million) tree saplings by 2050. This goal is a critical part of our strategy to achieve net-zero carbon emissions and mitigate the impact of global warming. Trees play a vital role in absorbing carbon dioxide one ton over its lifetime, enhancing air quality, and supporting biodiversity. By setting this target, we aim to make a substantial contribution to environmental sustainability. 

The Monumental Event: September 4th, 2024 

Join us on September 4th, 2024, for a landmark event where we will plant 40,000 saplings in just one hour. This monumental planting event will take place across various locations and will bring together students, faculty, community members, and environmental enthusiasts. It is a testament to our collective effort and determination to make a meaningful impact on our environment.
